US slaps sanctions on Sistema, Russian banks, Arctic LNG 2
WASHINGTON, Nov 2 (PRIME) -- The U.S. has imposed sanctions on Russia's multi-industry holding company Sistema, the Arctic LNG 2 liquefied natural gas (LNG) project and several banks, including Absolut Bank and Post Bank, the Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) said on Thursday.
The list also includes the SPB Exchange, several engineering bureaus and affiliates of oil company Gazprom Neft.
The blacklist of Russian officials was extended to include Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Alexei Besprozvannykh, Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Viktor Yevtukhov, officials of the Energy Ministry and the Digital Development Ministry.
The U.S. authority separately issued a license allowing the U.S. citizens to pay taxes and duties in Russia until January 31, 2024.
